camatv Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 lectron= easy to tune, easy to get parts, never needs "jets".. usually make more TQ than other carbs i have used.. PWK's great carb easy to tune ( if you have a box full of jets$$$$) work good parts easy to get.. only thing is you probably wont find many that use the lectron just becuase its not as "popular".. price new to new and the lectron is usually a lil cheaper also.. almost all the time if i show someone how to use them they never want to go back to any other type of carb.. i can take a set of lectrons NEW out of the box as long as the needle is right. have them on and TUNED in 30 mins. you dont see to many "what jets" or "jetting?" threads related to lectrons.. camatv Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 being where you are going to be riding and using the bike also makes me lean more towards lectrons with their relatively easy tuning and user friendly tuning i wiould lean more to the lectrons.. 36/38hv is what i would recomend. with external powerjet. preferably packard setup. figaro Posted November 18, 2011 Author Report Posted November 18, 2011 good clutch set up with No locker.. mattoon billet basket, driveline HD clutch.. can add the 8th plate easily and driveline has a kit for this. add lockup to above for great budget drag clutch. budget doesnt matter? hinson spring loaded bilet basket with straight cut gears. drivelien HD clutch and lockup if needed. ultimate is to add the hinson boss and pressure plate as well. and of course all the above will require a bearing clutch pusher. want to keep the stock cover?? add a gigot undercover slingshot locker.. instead of aftermarket cover and std locker.. Thanks CAMATV I got what you recommended your the man . Quote
