BansheeBoy347 Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 I just bought a new stator for my banshee. And its wider than a stock stator, but should the flywheel magnets have contact with the Pickup coil magnet? This is when I put my stator cover on. Quote

You will have to re-set your pickup gap. You can loose the bolts on the pickup, and using either a feeler gauges .020", or a 16pt business card set the gap, then tighten her down. Quote

Do I have the wrong Stator? Quote

wfobasheeboy Posted October 12, 2011 Report Posted October 12, 2011 The flywheel can be high keyed. This means the crank key moved when you put the fly wheel back on & make the fly wheel off center & rub the coil pick up in spots. Quote

I'm replacing mine at the moment and when ya go to torque the flywheel it rubs against the stator and don't turn over. Please help Quote
