OldschoolJay Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Hey everybody, just picked this up. have never owned a quad before. im a mx guy. been racing and riding since i was 9, now 36. my son has a little 50cc quad. i had a ktm 250sxf layin around not getting used so i swapped it for this. what do ya think? this was some of the stuff he said about it................ +2 chromolly control arms, +2 swing arm everything is powder coated including frame, new plastic, new wheels and tires, re build engine stainless steel braided brake lines, brand new rear rotor and calliper new chain and sprockets, pipes and k and n air filter, pro taper bars, I replaced all the bushings and bearing ( wheel, swing arm, axel carrier all that stuff ) bike has a fully powdercoated frame and swing arm which is also an aftermarket 2 inch extended and also powder coated +2 chromolly control arms, stainless braided brake lines all around, new rear caliper, new rear rotor, chain, sprockets, wheels, tires, plastic, graphics kit, protaper handle bars, billet gas cap, led tail light, rebuilt top end of engine, Teflon coated pistons, shaved head, 60 thousands over bore, new rod bearings, rings and gaskets, tors eliminator kit for carbs, all of the stuff listed above was done when I re did the bike and only has maybe 10 or so rides on it, also has newer clutch and bike has aftermarket pipes and silencers and k and n filter, bike looks and runs awesome a ton of fun Quote

Welcome to the ADDICTION. thanks, will look into other pipes. i have always run FMF on my race bikes. the banshee is just a toy for me and something for the GF to ride when im on the bike. i will use it for trails and mx track. forgot to mention, im on vancouver island in canada. if any other canadians on here have some plastics that have been cut already let me know. thanks Quote

OldschoolJay Posted October 8, 2011 Author Report Posted October 8, 2011 thanks guys, the banshee is a 03 and was owned by a guy from a yamaha dealership. very well taken care of. my ktm was a 07 with a bunch of mods, here's a quick shot of my kx250f. i will be switching it to a twist throttle, any thing weird about the swap? or can i just get a twist throttle from a yz125/250? The actually do make twist throttles for the Banshee, I would just buy one made for the bike so you know you will be good. I dont think there that expensive, check ebay. Quote
