Hey HQ,

I have oil coming out on the top of my case (i believe to be coming out of the clutch arm or release lever which ever one it is called) because i noticed it and so i got one the rubber oil seals (based off my clymers manual im assuming this is the problem) but here is the question,

Is this just a fix from the top or is there more to it then that?

Thanks guys.

Also how i know this is the problem is because i wiped the top clean and after riding it around (i assumed it was just dirty) i noticed the arm was covered in oil and around it.

gotta split the cases to pull the pusher and the seal.

fffffffffffffffff...............

Damn i was hoping i didnt need to do that,

Well.... ****....

Thanks.

Now I do not want to assume im going to be lazy and not get the problem solved but is this the only way i can do to solve this? Or is there any other option to hold off for a while...

Not even a few months on a fresh rebuild bangheadbanghead

its an oil bath tranny, so the oil is just splashing out that top seal. run it, but keep tabs on your oil level. its gonna be a oily mess up top, just run it adding oil till you gotta break her down.

Thanks NYUK,

It isnt too bad unless i climb a hill or hit a bad bump.

But i guess it is worth the time and the fix then to keep adding oil and wasting money on oil.

dont have to split the case to replace that seal?

reove the clutch and pull the rod out then remove the actuator on top case remove seal, install new one.. IF the bearing is bad thats another story..
