OR where the oil is dumping out of..
DYNAMITE
ok so i finally found the crack today its right at the base of the engine case in the back along the sleeve where the shift shaft enters the casing. its not a huge crack pretty small in my opinion my question is can i have it welded? or is there another method? ofr should i just be looking for a new bottom casing? WillG.
I discovered a small hair line crack on the bottom of my case. I had it welded, and seems to be doing fine.

Dyno whatever, Cases are matched together. Mis matching upper and lowers isn't recommended but you can do what you want. Without a pic of the crack it is hard to give advice. You could weld it, fill it with JB weld, yamabond, etc. All of which are your call based on your visial observation of the issue. You know what it looks like better than any of us.
