thinking about buying a set of +2+1 full flights. I have works shocks right now on my stock arms. buy getting these arms i believe my shee will sit lower is this true? and if so i hear the yfz shocks will make me a little higher than stock? what would be the best bang for the buck on shocks to solve this problem? and what would be the right length i would want, i ride manly dunes and some mx in the high desert. any ideas shee owners?

Yoru best bet would be to ask the people you're going to buy the arms from. On E-bay I assume.

They will probably sell you different arms for different shocks.

I contacted FF about their mount positioning a few months back, and since the mount is 2" further away from the frame, yes - your banshee will likely sit lower. From what I understand, you can use stock length shocks even as far out as +3 +1. Unless you go to long travel a-arms, stock length will suffice.

No idea about the YFZ shocks.

I don't know what I was thinking before! Don't get FF arms, call Tim at Stellar. He is a site sponsor and will built you a arms for whatever shocks you want to run. For just a few more dollars you will get a MUCH better a arm.

How many people run these arms? And how well do they hold up? What kind of joints do they offer?

Go with the Lone Star arms and never look back!

X2 I wouldn't run anything except Stellar swingarms and a-arms :headbang:

What is the difference between +2 +1 (or whatever configuration) and long travel a arms? I've also read about "bump steer" associated with the long travel arms. Our riding is exclusively on graded roads, some sandy, some lime rocked. The limerock roads sometimes have pretty serious potholes. As you all well know, the stock banshee suspension will pound you. I want to modify the suspension for the smoothest ride possible. We don't do any major jumping, just a lot of cruising and ripping around in the woods over sometimes very bumpy roads. What would be the best suspension setup for us?

As usual, thanks for the help,

Had the plus three arms with 450 shocks worked good after one long trip the joints where loose.

Just finished the 450 conversion works just as good if your relocate the lower shock mount to get the correct ride higth

got the 3 1 fullflights for yfz shocks here.....night and day difference. if you want a little more lift to them, just put on the ltr shocks. awesome mod. throw away the banshee shocks!
