The banshee moves very slowly forward while on IDLE! lol but wont turn off. i know that if i keep on riding it like this it will just get completely wasted and i wont be able to ride it at all. so i wanted some suggestions on some good clutches out there and the price. as long as its not stock cuz stock clutch is like sh*t. any help will be helpful, thanks! Rotax Raptor Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Farm and sand toys (f.a.s.t.) sells a clutch that I've been using in my drag bikes. They call it "fast clutch" and I think its about $85 bucks. It's as good of a clutch as I've found and pretty reasonable. Quote

Actually a stock clutch is great, it just needs some heavier springs put in it. I run a Toomey cluitch with 3 stock springs and it is indestructible. My stock clutch with 3 Toomey springs and 3 stock springs held up great and I carry it for a spare. Quote
RadarRacing Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 I tgought the FAST clutch was alot more than $85 Rotax? At least the last time I checked. Its a really good clutch tho. Like said putting heavier springs helps alot. You probably dont even have to buy any, most guys have a bunch laying around if theyve been riding or racing for a few years. Quote
camatv Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 if its draggin at idle you have other problems.. i want to get ice cream wasted!! Quote

AKheathen Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 probably smoked by now, but have you adjusted it yet? one thing to keep in mind with the new clutch. if you don't keep free-play in it, it will smoke again, and probably weld the ball. Quote

AKheathen Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 it's the slack that the pusher can move before actually pushing on the clutch to release it. obviously, if you have none, then the pressure plate is putting pressure on the pusher, rather than the clutch plates. between the adjuster and the rod is a ball bearing, which can weld itself if it has constant pressure.
