Ryanw Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 Hey guys love the site lots of great info for a new guy. Starting from scratch with a 95 I picked up. Wanting to see what plastics I should go with. I have a nice set of white rears that I can use. I've looked at the maier and the laker plastic and like both. Is there any draw backs to either brand? Is stock the way to go here as far as quality goes. Don't much like the look of fullbores or the price. Thinking of either flat black or lime green powder on the frame and white plastic. Help me out here guys! Quote
Glenyboy Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 I'd say go with a black front, as for what one?? One thing you must think about is whether you want the mudguards or if you want a race cut set. If you want the race cut don't bother with stock, if you want them though stock are far nicer than maier I've just got a voltric front which is excellent for the money, especially when your getting the whole front piece plus grill for $200!! I'd say either black voltric or fullbore Quote
Ryanw Posted August 9, 2011 Author Report Posted August 9, 2011 Yeah looking for a race cut front. Kinda like the laker set. Tried to look up voltric but the site said the server could not be found???? Any idea how to get ahold of them? Quote

Tried to look up voltric but the site said the server could not be found???? Any idea how to get ahold of them? I've never seen the Voltric stuff in person, but the pics look nice. PM them on here, member name "Voltric". And there website works for me, looks like there is even a contact section on the site: http://www.voltric.com/ Quote
Glenyboy Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 I couldn't get in the voltric site on my iPhone so may not work on a mac either?? Very high quality products though, I also got the chrome tank cover which is very nice. Quote
Ryanw Posted August 9, 2011 Author Report Posted August 9, 2011 I was able to access the site on my desktop. Looks very nice. Sent them a message through their site. Hopefully they will call soon. Thanks for the help!! Quote

Ryanw Posted August 9, 2011 Author Report Posted August 9, 2011 Anyone have any experience with laker plastics? Quote
broke350 Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Anyone have any experience with laker plastics? I had a set but never installed them before I sold my '87. I saw the quad with them on it later and they looked/fit nice. The only thing I didn't like about Laker and Fullbore was that the front end is all one assembly. If you ever need access to the radiator, you have to pull the whole front fender assembly off, instead of just pulling the radiator cover. Others seem not to be bothered by it, but I'm partial to the stock look. Quote
