banshee4231 Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 HEY GUYS, I HAVE AN EXTRA 472 SUPERCUB IT IS A 4MIL SUPERCUB..... ANYWAYS, WE ARE GOING TO OREGON IN 2 WEEKS, AND I TOLD MY FRIEND ID LET HIM USE THEM BLAH BLAH,, WELL I FIND OUT HE HAS A STOCK CRANK, SO I SAY "MAN THEY WONT RUN RIGHT" ,, THESE ARE FOR A 4MIL LONG ROD.. HE SAID "IL JUST USE A SPACER PLATE TO RAISE IT UP TO CORECT PORT TIMINGS" IS HE OUT OF HIS MIND? OR I AM WRONG ? HE SAID HE CAN STILL MAKE 85 TO 90HP LIKE THAT.. I REALLY DON'T CARE,, MAIN QUESTION IS, CAN HE FUCK UP MY CYLINDERS AT ALL BY DOING THIS ? Quote
RadarRacing Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 First of all he wont need a spacer plate to run a 4mm supercub on a stock crank. He doesnt know what he's talking about that is all wrong. Running a 54mm stroke with a 58mm stroke will lower the port timing NOT raise it. Theres so many reasons that is incorrect, piston pin height would be wrong etc. Quote
camatv Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 tell him to get his own cylinder. he's obviously lost adn dosent even understand what you have. it wont even make enough compression to start. Quote
