klever209 Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 What is the max hp one can expect from the stock carbs in a stock jug ported set up vs. a stroked.? The reason I ask is, I've been putting off the rebuild to save up for a stroker 4 m. Will I be able to benefit from stock carbs? Or do they hold you back. I ride in tight woods with many elevation changes and open dunes where i will drag race a few people as needed. Quote

This being stated.....if you don't port it for the 4mil then you will be fine.....however if you want it to run like a 4mil should your gonna need to get it ported.....and at that point your stock carbs may hold you back... 06specialedition Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 X2...I would say 70HP or so. Bigger carbs will give you the motors full potential though. I've been running stock carbs on my Wildcard Racing ported stock stroke and it runs awesome (about 60-65HP). Going to upgrade to some 34mm Mikuni Flatslides though so I can see this bikes real potential. Quote
