throttle cable hitting fuel tank

have any of you guys run into the problem of having the throttle cable ends.....the bent steel part that goes into your carb tops...rubbing and hitting the bottom of your fuel tank ?

any way of fixing other than shimming the tank up?

Put a set of reed spacers between the carbs and reeds. That will move the carbs back.
