i have 03 banshee fmf sst vf3 +4 timing cool head 22cc domes elevation is around sea level and air temp 70-90 degrees it bogs alot on low end with 0-1/4 throttlee.. i think my mains are good. but too big of pilots. mains are 290 and pilots are 30. i noticed i have 2 strok oil coming out up front and a little out the back. plugs are not white at all there mostly black on the part thats supposed to be white. also with the air box off i rev it to 1/4 throttle and i noticed a mist of gas comes out the back of carbs. but 1/2 to full revving it none comes out. can someone help?? thanks

the only direction fuel air goes is into the engine, if its being blown back out the carbs it means your reeds arent sealing good.FYI, at mid-high RPM's your reeds don't have time to close

Try 27.5 pilots. Also your air screws probably need adjusting too.

 

What do you mean " i noticed i have 2 strok oil coming out up front and a little out the back"........? If your meaning oil is coming out of the front and back of your pipes, you need new orings on the headers and a repack on the silencers. Or is it leaking where the stinger and pipe connect?

i hate 30 pilots in mostly stock / modded banshee's i really dont know why they get recomend all the time. they are mostly too RICH 27.5 is a nice middle from stock. most of the ones i have worked on over the years have really liked 27.5, needle in 4th pos from top, and 280-340 mains. mikuni carbs rely hevily on main and needle for jetting.
