txbanshee45 Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Hey guys im new to the banshee world. Just bought a 2001 banshee with dmc pies with the 2 into 1 along with the toomey 2 into 1 intake. the owner said it had the tors elimination kit and does,, but he did not install or purchase the idle screw kit. when i start my shee up it idles really high untill its warmed up. also when i ride it sometimes it runs fine, and other times it acts like i have a bad ground and it barely wants to. Just need to know if i need to buy the idle screw kit. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Welcome to BHQ !! Unless the P O used one stock carb, it should have an idle screw. Two things to check, look to se if the T.O.R.S. "brain" is disconnected. Small box on left frame rail by gas tank, three wires IIRC. Second almost sounds like an air leak, might need to do leak-down test. What do your plugs look like? Can you post pic of carb? Do you have two carbs? There is a sticky for tors elimination/idle screw mod. Quote

And the other 2 into 1 he is talking about, I am guessing is the pipe from either Motofast or Dynport. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135591 As to idle screws. Probably F.A.S.T. has the screws. Might want to get kit with caps and throttle cable and get rid of the "brick" on top of carbs. When you do the screws clean carbs good while you have it apart. For the running problem, check for leaks at carb boots. Quote
