bluedevshee85 Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 i am purchasing a motor that has a 1-5 override in it and was used on 300' tracks. i will b using this motor in the 1/4mile. Can i put 6th back on and manually shift or should i put it on and have drum cut to make it a 1-6 full override? it does have a lock-up in it so if i choose to do 6th manually would that make it harder to shift into 6th? try'in to avoid shop time turn around and want to get draggin so any help would be much appreciated. Sell that set up and buy a duneable 1-4 5/6 manual tranny from our sponsors. I got mine from FAST racing, holding up good so far. Quote
sleeper06 Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 The drum for the 1-5 will be cut diffrent ,without seeing it i really cant tell,im in LOng island if you wanted to take a ride here with the trans I could take a look,i also have lots of tranny parts if it will work so you could possibly leave with a tranny ready to go.I also have a bridgport mill to use because i suggest cutting every other dog off for draggin asphault Quote
