pumarat Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Need some help, just bought a set of mx-dune ported stock cylinders with 68mm la-sleeve big bore done by herrs racing so I'm told. The person I bought them from claimed 87hp on alchol? I'm running a stock crank with timing plate, flywheel, 35mm, t-5s and I was wondering what kind of pistons to run? Can I run the wiesco 68mm cub pistons? And also I'm planning to run 110 octane so what would be the best domes to run with this set-up? Is this set-up comparable to running a stock stroke cub? New to this engine building and any help would be appreciated. Quote

I dont think you can run blaster pistons unless your using a long rod crank.. at 68mm your either going to have to use a trinity piston or WSM. Quote
BigRed350x Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 If kevin did the work, give him a call and he can answer your questions for you... If he did the work, he will have a record of the cylinders and can hook you up with what will and won't work. - Jared Quote
pumarat Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 yea I was planning on calling him, I just didn't know if he would have a record of the cylinders or not. Thx Quote
CFH87 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Compression and domes for race gas depends on elevation and I would definitely give Kevin a call. Quote
