What is with the Serval Cat?

I have a 4mil 421 serval and I like it makes good power and nice tq and no its not a drag motor nor will it be and the cost is not that much if you all ready have some of the bolt ons. But if your going to drag then by a cub.

How much did it cost you to build this motor vs just buying a serval?

depends on what you would already have the bottom ends are built the same at least how i do it.. the only real differnce is the cost of the sleeve's and installing them and the cylinder porting..

 

so really the cost is nearly the same the power delivery is very similar from the serval ( with proper pipes and dome selection) to a well built 421 stocker.

 

is guess sleeve's and install would probably be around 350-400 bucks. then a good port after the sleeve i'd guess around 300-450 ish

 

so about 850 and thats not much diff in price from a serval.. BUT if your a machine shop then all it is is time and the cost of the sleeve

would my trail ported 66mm jugs work or would I also have to buy unported stock cylinders?

sleeving is best to do with some cylinders that the sleeves are trashed in 66's would be a good canidate.
