Joey80 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Ok so heres the deal, I just put the motor back together. I had to put in a new transmission. I put it all back together and the bike won't start. Put a new coil on and now it wants to fire. I got it to run once yesterday but won't idle. As soon as i turn it off, there was fuel leaking from the overflow tube. Now, I tried to pull start it today and when i do, the right cylinder backfires and blows the exhaust pipe off. Any help on where to start here?? I'm new to the banshees and could use a little bit of guidance. Thanks in advance. Quote

Hey, I'm no master tech like some of these guys, but I know enough to get me in trouble. Try checking the carb slides. They could be in backwards. There is a halfmoon cutout at the bottom of the slides, and those cutouts need to be facing towards the back of the bike. I seem to remember this happening to my bike before. Hope that helps. Quote
banshee_R1 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 If fuel is comming out of your carbs you need to adjust your float height. And there is probly a ton of gas in the crankcase. Check your plugs I bet they are wet Quote
