okbeast Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Would a few dents in the sweep of an OOF pipe affect performance much at all? They aren't huge, but are definitely noticeable. The worst one is maybe an 1/8-1/4 inch "deep". Quote
okbeast Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 Pipes are for sale for $150. If that has any weight Quote
shanYE west Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 look to be hand coned... are they shearers? Quote
BB3 Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I have had dents in some of my Inframe and out of frames before and never really noticed any huge diff. in performance. Now i dont have any proof to back that up like dyno sheets.......but id think they would be fine to run that way and since im cheap id buy them and run them for sure. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 For that price can't go wrong. Seeing that they aren't chrome, I'd go for the heat and compressed air dent removel. As for power loss, I would guess it could/would be measurable, but not by the ass dyno. JMHO, your results may vary. Quote
newbatv Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 its definately robbing power as pipes are designed for certain volumes at certain areas but its gonna be minimal. lots of shops fix dented pipes for a reasonable price. Quote
