black sunshine Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 (edited) Like the title states, wondering if anyone is running them on their shees, where to get the stuff, and what the ideal temps to run are. Did a search, didn't find shit. Edited April 28, 2011 by black sunshine Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I used to run them back in the 90's. ideal temp's are 1250 degrees max. I used to run an isspro setup. You get your probes setup in the headpipes usually just out of the wetline or a certain distance from the piston. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I run a digitron DT-50S Series on the sled. Awesome quality. Very good investment. Bit on the pricey side though. Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I'm running the KOSO twin EGT setup. This one even has the water temp. (wish they had it out when I got mine.) http://www.bikebandit.com/koso-dual-egt-gauge-with-rpm-and-water-temperature?mg=5917 Quote
DieHard2Smoker Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 run them on my skidoo 1000. like said above 1250 is max for any amount of time, 1300 if just for a moment. i have the Digitron EGT, cant remember what model but it does its job well and makes tuning the fuel box easy. gained several horsepower by tuning with it. camatv Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 i have a difitron dt-50? rpm. water, 2 egt you can search google and find the info on them i looked at a koso and those look pretty cool also. but seems they have a battery box and a readout thats seperate. they can also show a problem if its about to happen and sometimes save parts. if your looking for every last lil bit out of your motor they are a decent investment. nice with alky also. tops on alky is about 1050 1100 for ONE cold run ( track tune).. i like about 950 for the dunes then if i need i can squeze about a bike length out of it if i need to going to 1050 on the dyno it was good for about 3 hp on top... i havent used my digitron for about 2 years even though its on the bike. the digi's also have a record feature where it maps the runs and you can look at rpm vs shift points and all that stuff that was kinda cool to look at.
