Ok guys, here's the story.

I bought my Banshee brand new from the dealer in 2006 as a leftover 2005. I pay cash for it at the dealer. A little while goes by and I get my title for it in the mail. Turns out they filled it out wrong and had the wrong address on it for whatever reason. No biggy, they said send it back and they would fix it. Another couple weeks go by and, surprise, the company went out of business and I didn't receive my title back yet.

Now I guess you could say, I procrastinated a little bit on this lol. I don't really have to worry about a title and registration where I ride so I didn't get too worked up over it. Now that the wife is starting to get interested in riding too, I'd like to get the title for my Shee.

Question is, how would I go about getting the title for my Shee? Would it be too much of a hassle to even try or what?

Its different from state to state. I would go down to your county clerks office and ask them for their procedures. It will probably involve a VIN inspection, declaration of lost title forms, proof of payment and proof of sales tax.... have fun with that.

here in Mi you can go straight to our secretary of state office and just apply for a new title. if your the one who owns it then its like $10 for one to be mailed to you in about a week or $20 if you want one on the spot.....

Damn that'd be nice. Somethin like that happens here you're screwed. If the guy dies you gotta dig him up to have him sign over the title.

I'm not THAT desperate for a title. :shootself:

Its really not desperation, its easy. Me and my bro in law both had old banshees with no titles(an 87' and a 92') and needed state stickers to ride here in ohio. They said we could get stickers if we had titles or bills of sale. So we got 2 forms from the dmv,had them notarized like we sold them to eachother and presto now we have state stickers.

But lost title deal would probably be easier
