chetgoff Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 I measured the cylinders deck to base is 102.5 mm Exhaust dect to bottom of port =55.5 and deck to top=29mm./ Intake is deck to bottom of ports=101.5mm and deck to top of port=67.2mm/ The port above the intake (not sure what it is called) deck to bottom of port= 60mm and deck to top of port=43.5mm/ side ports(again not sure what they are called) deck to bottom of ports=60mm and deck to top of ports =42. I will post some pictures of the cylinders just looking to see how they look and possibly what the ports are as far as a drag, dune or what. Quote

mopar1rules Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 First off, thanks for giving deck to port roof measurements, when asking "what kinda port job I got". Nice pics too. I thought base to deck was 104mm stock?? I don't have my notes handy, so I can tell ya if the base or deck has been cut. I ran your measurements, assuming .5mm deck height (common), and came up w/187.8* exh, 128* transfers (ports on the side), and 120* for rear boost port (could be a little more IMO). I would say you have around an aggressive trail port, to mild dune. Quote
mopar1rules Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 I forgot to ask who did the porting, cause its nice smooth and even work. Quote
mopar1rules Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 I forgot to tell you that your blow down is 30*, which will give you a smooth power delivery and broader powerband......great for trails. What pipes do you have and what type of riding do you do? Quote
chetgoff Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 Thanks for the help. that is what I was looking for. I measured both cylinders and the deck to base was the same. I was thinking it was 104 or more also. I currently have t-5's. all I do is drag this thing in the sand. I never dune it just play at the drags so I have been trying to go that way with it. I have 35mm PWK carbs. the timing is +4. and the head is milled. not sure how much. I'm looking to get it drag ported if possible. I'm not sure what is up with the cylinder heights. the piston was not protuding the top of the cylinders. If I go drag ported will t-5's be ok or should I go with shearer's.. I'm not sure who ported them. I bought the bike done and the guy did not know. again thanks for the help. Quote
mopar1rules Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 IMO, you might want to go w/shearers for drag racing. If you want to run your T5's some more, I would up the exh duration to 190* or 192*, and leave transfers alone, but raise rear boost to 42.5mm. When I get home from work, I'll measure up the height of my cylinders and see what they measure. I'll get back to you later today. Quote
chetgoff Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 thanks for all the help. I would like to get a set of sheares. so I would like to go as big as can get the ports. Quote
sleeper06 Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 if your looking to drag ex 201,134 trans shearers will benefit you in the higher durations Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) Looks like a nice Play/Dune port to me. Who did em? Edited April 8, 2011 by AssWhore Quote
chetgoff Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 I'm not sure who ported them. bought it this way Quote
camatv Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 cyls look good you will need more like 198* for shear's it will still pull out of the hole that way.. as it is with the t-5's would be a fun rider bike.. Quote
trex banshee Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 where did they guy live that you bought the bike from? Quote
