Screamin'Banshee Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 My pistons appear to have 0.50mm stamped into the top of them, does this mean they are 64.50 mm aka .020 over? Also my crank has a little side-to-side play.. from what i have read so far it is not of major concern, but this is contrary to what i would normally believe. What do you guys think? Quote
12 0 Clock P I M P Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 yes it should be that you are .20 over .50mm larger The side to side play is normal.....there is room for a slight wiggle, but there are measurable tolerances for this play if you want to see if your within spec. Quote
Burt Reynolds Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) While you have the crank handy check the up and down play of the rod at the bottom of the stroke too. Edited April 5, 2011 by Burt Reynolds Quote
