97banshee13 Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 i recently jetted my stock carbs with 280 mains and 4th clip on needle and 1.5 turns out on the air/fuel mixture and ran and idled great... i then installed the timing plate and set at +4 and now idles like crap and pops a lil and bogs at low and idle but once power kicks in it wicked i need help with the idle problem i have fmf fatty pips and power core mufflers boost bottle carbon reeds power flow foam filter wit holes drilled ontop of air box tors eliminated with idle kit and running b8es plugs Quote

06specialedition Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Timing set at +4 shouldn't affect jetting. Check you pick-up gap, it could have gotten bumped when you took your flywheel off. Quote

Check you pick-up gap, it could have gotten bumped when you took your flywheel off. generally your jetting wont be affected but i like to go up 1 size just to be on the safe side when using full throttle for a piece of mind.Anybody with any history with banshees know how temperamewntal they can be...even with small minute changes. Yes, I like to start a few sizes too big on the mains then work my way down until they are spot on. Rather be a tad rich than be running lean. -Zach Quote
