dm182 Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Don't have a manual and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the factory compression spec is? Quote

acroadam Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Don't have a manual and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the factory compression spec is? I checked my clymers and it said that yamaha don't have a specific compression. But what I read on other post if your under 110psi, then it's too low. I think 130psi and above is great. When you check your compression just make sure each cylinder is within 10% of each other. Quote
troyzstang Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 mine runs 125 dead even on both sides. Starts on first kick every time. Quote
CFH87 Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Maby thats why I had to pull start mine alot lol Quote
wfobasheeboy Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 I ran my down to 100PSI on both CYL & It Started on the first kick every time. Quote
J-Madd Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Due to variances in the casting of the stock head, there probably is a range of accepted static compression. I just don't know why Yamaha won't specify it. I'd guess 110 to 130??? Quote
