empathy Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Hi guys what are the best bolt on mods to make a banshee more powerful and faster. So far I have Boyesen Power Reeds, K&N Air Filter and FMF Powercore 2 Silencers. People said you won't feel much of a difference unless you get pipes and those alone will make a load of difference. Help? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 correct....silencers arent going to boost your performance.....however if you get the matching fmf pipes on there you will definately see a big difference. There are other things that you can do too...like removing the airbox lid to help flow, advancing your timing to +4 degrees, and if that's not enough you can send your cylinders to site sponsors on here and have a port job done which will REALLY wake up that beast.... **warning.....you WILL need to rejet after modifying the motor....or else you WILL melt it down** Quote

empathy Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 Hi I have seen 'superstock' pistons and they see the increase performance and hp because the pistons are ported instead of the cylinder? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANSHEE-SUPERSTOCK-PISTON-KIT-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1c19c4f3d9QQitemZ120691422169QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories I'm also intriuged in these, can anyone shed any light? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERFORMANCE-PLUG-YAMAHA-YFZ350-BANSHEE-YFS200-BLASTER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem588964b3cbQQitemZ380262200267QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Think i might just go for the pipes though cos i don't really want to put the money out on porting. empathy Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 Does it need to be FMF pipes? I;ve found some pro circuit ones but don't know if they'll fit onto the silencers. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 ive heard mixed reviews on the superstock pistons.....id say don't do it personally. But im almost positive that the fmf silencers will not fit other aftermarket pipes... you can find good deals on the fmf's in the for sale section in here though!! Quote
