  1. just warmed it up and tried it, its alot better when warmed up, maybe im mistaking this knock for coming down the revs off the pipe or something
  2. About to sell my banshee and I take it a test run. It's totally fine in higher revs and anything but neural. When you rev it up in neutral, half throttle for an instance, when it decels there is a knock just as it comes back to idle. You can kinda feel it aswell as hear it. Also, my left back pipe is smoking ALOT whiter than the other pipe, it doesn't seem to kill performance though? Any help? I really want to get rid of it.
  3. Ok will try that, also heard about leaking crank seals, my gear oil doesnt seem to be low, what else could cause white smoke out of only one side? My fuel in the tank is very rich but surely they would smoke both the same. at the mo they are both smoking white but one side is alot whiter.
  4. I was due to sell my quad tomorrow and I go to start it up today and the left hand side pipe is smoking way whiter than the other. I check the plugs, they are really oily. I clean both carbs with compressed air incase it was water in the carbs. No change. I went to test drive it and its not effecting the performance whatever it is..when I come back in they are smoking the same.. Anyone know whats wrong?
  5. Old reeds are back in and the reason im finding it slow is deffinitely because its only going into the band on one side. It's using a whole loads fuel too..a tank only gets me about one hour riding time, maybe one and a half. I've switched coils round, no change, switched plugs, no change, flipped reeds no change. Both cylinders run well at idle but when you start to go into higher rpm thw left side kinda breaks up..

Still don't know if its running right, in 1st gear it goes really slow and like really high revs and the same for the rest of the gears, its seems to be in sixth aswell pinned and it feels just so slow for a banshee, it feels as if i should be pulling into another gear and taking off, as soon as you hit the powerband the revs stay the same no matter how much throttle, i expecting it to go alot faster, maybe im just getting used to it but i done know..??????
  7. Well i put the old reeds back in today and it was a bit better and all of a sudden after it not running right for about an hour, its banding on both sides, the only thing i can think of is dirt in the carb must of moved or something?
  8. my carbs were cleaned last weekend so surely thats Not the problem.
  9. No fuel where you said but im sure there might be fuel coming out where you pull the choke out. Tomorrow im going to switch coils, pull reeds out and swap the reed cages to opposide sides and retest see if the problem has moved to the other side. If not, ill then check the carbs. Hopefully I can get this sorted, it used an incredible amount of fuel earlier on, out for say half an hour with 3/4 of a tank then when i get back its nearly empty..
  10. Well if you really force the power it seems to come on both side but sometimes only one side. on low end all you see is hesitation. the quad is absolutely drinking the fuel like nothing.
  11. I flipped the reeds aroud and no difference strangely and the banshee is only going about 60 mph to 65mph full out at the moment with the throttle pinned so somethings deffo not right.
  12. Just checked reeds and they seem to be making a good seal around the cage although this only started when i put these new reeds in. Also when I put my hands over both exhausts to feel pressure, seems like the one thats hesitating isnt firing constantly like the other one.
  13. No maybe it was just water than was getting sooked in, also the overtube hole must class as an air leak
  14. Turns out my crossover tube had holes in it and water/dirt got into the hole and into the intake and messed it up. Check your crossover.
  15. Made sure cchoke tube was on, didn't open the carbs, just pulled them up out the way. Thanks

Hi i changed my reeds to dual stage boyesen power reeds yesterday, today its hesitating on one side and there is white smoke blowing out one exhaust, its not the plugs, it doesnt hesitate if you force the power in 4th gear and upwards, could this be one side of reeds not seated properly? Also when do you know your clutch isnt slipping? like whats it like when it fiirst starts slipping because my banshee seems to have lost alot of speed and revs up high pretty fast in the first few gears.
  17. What is the very least you would sell the fatty pipes alone for? (no silencer)
  18. Does it need to be FMF pipes? I;ve found some pro circuit ones but don't know if they'll fit onto the silencers.

  20. Hi guys what are the best bolt on mods to make a banshee more powerful and faster. So far I have Boyesen Power Reeds, K&N Air Filter and FMF Powercore 2 Silencers. People said you won't feel much of a difference unless you get pipes and those alone will make a load of difference. Help?

  22. Yeah stock carbs and pipes. I'm at sea level and temp should be around 10 degrees to 20 fretted, maybe a bit lower. The plugs are usually oily wet or carbony.
  23. Hi guys I got some boyesen power reeds for my banshee and noticed they have a kind of adaptor plate on them. I was wondering why they do because ultimately doesn't that make the hole the reed sits on smaller? Hope yous understand what I mean. thanks
