yamahaman244 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 hey guys tonight went for a ride with my two buddies that have banshees the one is prety much like mine just pipes and lid off the other one claims to be a 420 stroker and ported and polished pods and pipes reeds um.... we were riding tonight and me and the guy that has the stroker to my knowlege has the same gearing as mine but he eats me for topend im pined in 6th and hes toped in 5th sometimes just hiting 6th to me it seems he has to have alittle taller gears cause that would be the only way he would have more topend just casue of the motor work u can only get so fast out of the sprokets u have right? While you might peak around 8500rpm and run out of steam at 9500rpm, a hot ported engine could turn 10K or more fading. He could also have 2.68:1 drive gears. I'm guessing its the powerbands, though. yamahaman244 Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 I have vitos pistons and my pipes are t6s he has procircts.... so porting would give him more longer powerband then so it could be that to intresting I might be getting my dune play port this summer I'm only 16 though so its got blenty of power for me I can pull wheelies in 4h gear sitting down with out using the clutch whitch ain't to bad for I only way 165 Quote
