bennny Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I'm looking for a low to mid range pipe to do trail riding, and wanted to get some suggestions from you guys. I've heard pro-circuits are good, any others? I had my heart set on the DMC 916's but learned that they are a mid to high pipe. Also, for those who know about the 916's, would those be okay for trail riding? Quote
crustydemon Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I think I've said this before, PC's or PT mids will be your best choice. Quote
bennny Posted February 21, 2011 Author Report Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) I think I've said this before, PC's or PT mids will be your best choice. I know PC stands for Pro Circuit, but what is PT? How much can I expect to pay for used Pro Circuits? Edited February 21, 2011 by bennny Quote
crustydemon Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 PT is Paul Turner, it's a Duncan Racing brand. You can pick up a good used set of Pro Circuits almost everywhere, I dont know what new ones cost. You can follow the link in my sig to see what they are getting for PT's. Around a couple hundred for a used set of either, I prefer Paul Turners for lots of reasons but I dont want to get into a fight tonight with all the PC lovers so I'll keep my mouth shut...for now. 06specialedition Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Your going to get tons of different answers.....If I was running a trail bike I would have to have Pro Circuits hands down. Great low to mid pipe, but they pull awesome on top too. Quote
Coupelx Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Yea no other pipe makes the power that pro circuits do. Quote
crustydemon Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I run both pipes on different bikes and the Pro Circuits do pull better up top without a doubt. Quote

Michael Jackson Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 the stock pipes have a pretty smooth powerband Quote
MikeNick Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 I run T-5's...Pretty good all around pipe. All I ride is trails an some open fields. Quote
burhead Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 Fmf fattys are great on the trails. I would call them a mid range pipe. They seem to have a decent bottom and they hit pretty hard in the mid range. Best thing about them is they can be found very cheap. Quote
bennny Posted February 21, 2011 Author Report Posted February 21, 2011 I guess i've decided on the Pro Circuits, thanks for the advice! Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 It is very interesting that one of FMF's mid-top pipes has been deemed as a good trail pipe over the gnarley, which is actually their trail pipe. Quote

Snopczynski Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 your point? or are you just posting to see yourself post? My point is, it makes no sense that a fatty would be a better trail pipe than a Gnarley. Quote
