bansheesrtoys
i have almost the same setup, but i have 19 domes and run race gas. my jetting is 30/pilot and 310/main in summer. i'm about 776ft. the hard starting could be from your carb bowls being on the wrong carb.the carb bowl with the little half ball on the outside goes on the left carb. aslo with that low of comp it time for a top-end. and if you say the walls look good you could just get away with pistons and rings. steeler2169
Can you have piston rings in wrong groove on piston or are the the same size
bansheesrtoys
on the stock carb bowls their is one that has a little ball in the front of it. its for the choke . with your carb bowls on look at the side that goes into the intake boots. look down at the bowls one will have a hole with a ball in it. and that one goes on the left. sleeper06
jetting doesnt worry me but 68 psi does, what might be minor scratches to you could be major when your talking .003 piston/cylinder clearance
bansheesandrider
You need a bore job and new pistons and rings. With 68 psi, it is not putting enough squeeze on the air/fuel mixture to make it fire. Edited February 20, 2011 by bansheesandrider
