shees4life Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Soo I just purchased a new banshee..the thing is nice as hell and has clearly been taken care of..brand new top end all of that good stuff. I took it out yesterday for the first time and when i brought it home to wash it i stood it up on the grab bar to spray the underside of it..well when I did this i noticed oil was pouring out of the quad..didnt get a chance to see where it was coming from. Any ideas?? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 on the back of the motor kinda low (in between the motor mounts) there is a plastic nipple that should have a tube on it to vent the cases.....it supposed to go all the way up and connect to a T-fitting just above your cylinders (the other side goes to your clutch cover and the 3rd tube goes up near the bars) i bet your is either real short or came loose... sangheraent Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) well get a super clean pail or something to put your trans oil into. drain it out completely and put it on its ass once again and see if it keeps coming. if it stops you found it. if not have a 2nd pair of eyes looking for it. (there isnt a lot places it could be coming from) we only have trans oil shock oil and antifreeze haha. or just check your oil level and see if it went down, Edited February 14, 2011 by sangheraent Quote
shees4life Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 thanks guys...yea the oil level went down so it is prob coming from where the hose is supposed to be Quote
