dag88 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Hey guys i just bought my first 2004 Banshee the other day and i cant get it started for the life of me when i got it the compression was 103 and 130 in the cylinders so i changed the head gasket and took care of that now i cant seem to get spark i changed the plugs, stator, checked the cdi and all switches and messed with disconnected the tors and still nothing, can anyone help me? or have some advice? Im located in Phx az so if anyone is close by and can help me i'd really appreciate it thanks guys i hope i can get this thing running before next weekend i wanna go to Glamis lol Quote

troyzstang Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 no one?? Can we assume you had spark before the rebuild? Did you check the components with a ohmeter? Also when you checked spark did you touch the plugs against a clean surface. I ask this because i just had the same issue on another project and spent days trying to get spark. Turned out that the cylinder head was simply to dusty & dirty to generate a good ground. good luck Quote
dag88 Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 yea i swaped the stator w another one that was running i droped the bike off at my buddies house and hes gonna check the ohms and volts for me tonight cuz i got work, and no i didnt have spark before the rebuild i got it off a guy who says he rode it in Mexico 6months ago and it ran fine and its been sitting ever since lol maybe its been sitting for a reason Quote

dag88 Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 Ok so my buddy ran the ohms and volt test and shot wires got it down to the coil pack we took it off n put it back on and Bam we have spark! Now we will see if it runs tomoorrow thanks guys Quote
