timzBanshee
Did the search on this topic came up with nothing. aSo I had this great idea to ride my Banshee while wearing my MX boots with my new CPI pipes. I know better and I have no idea what I was thinking. Now there is some of the plastic from the boots melted on my nice shiny new pipes. I'm so upset at myself for doing this, as I know better. Any suggestions on how to remove? I did this a long time ago with some toomey pipes and I scratched them up trying to remove burned on plastic. Thank you for any help, I appreciate it. Pics taken before the melted plastic also..
crustydemon
I do that all the time. It's either melted boots or gloves with me. It's a bitch to get it off sometimes but what I do is first try a little lacquer thinner on a rag to soften it, then it will scrape off easy if you even have too. Just make sure you dont get it on your plastics.
beebs
I posted a while back and got alot of good idea's of what ppl used. I ended up using oven cleaner and a heat gun. I would heat the area up good and hot then apply the oven cleaner, let it sit then wipe it off with a rag. Would'nt come off right away but after a few cycles of heat and cleaner it would peal right off.
