Fastest and cheapest way is to stop eating at McDonalds. Seriously, you can trim weight off yourself to a greater extent than you can off your bike. But if your looking to drop the quads weight, start with lighter wheels and tires. The stock swingarm is a major lead brick. Get a round tube chromloy replacement. Stock pipes are heavy. Lighter grab bars, loose the tors. I wouldn't worry about messing with wiring changes to save weight untill everything you own that was mild steel is now chromoly.

If your on a budget.......just run helium in your tires.

You can chop 10-15lbs off the stock frame easy. Swap out your a-arms for light-weight ones. Change your shocks over to marvins. Go with a JJ&A axle. Light-weight tires and wheels. Ditch the front brakes. Get some aluminum foot pegs, aluminum shifter and aluminum brake pedal.

Edit: I agree with windycity though, its easier to loose weight off your own ass first. I'm in the process of trying to do that myself.

so what mounts arent needed and can i cut off my frame? and at 6ft 160 its hard to lose any weight

Just about all of them. LOL If you are only drag racing you can hack a lot of shit off the stock frame. Stock frames are 55lbs.

Just look at the pictures and compare it to a stock frame. That's why I posted the pics.

take the banshee motor out of the frame, find someone that has a yfz drag set up the blew up a 6000K motor and buy that roller chassis for whatever and install your banshee engine. extremely light setup.
