jack350 Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Posted January 5, 2011 it looks a touch lean, id try some 280's and compare results, as it is now it will make more power, but i think a touch fatter will be safer. when I was running the 280's with my air lid on i was fouling my plugs, when i took my air lid off it cleared up.. but now with the 270 there is NO oil resedue in my mufflers which i think is good.. also how long in 6th gear do u rev out for??? because i didnt stay WOT in 6th gear for a while Quote

Wicked ATV Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Be safer with the 280m like DirtyD said and do keep the lid off if that's what you see right now. Also don't need to be doing it in 6th. You might run it too far of a distance and suck the bowls dry on them small stock carbs and miss read it. I'd say do the test in 4th or 5th if your geared low do it in 5th and count to 1,2,3. Cut it and pull the plug out. Better off taking a spare set of plugs so you can replace them where ever your at to ride the bike back if your not near you shop. Quote
