  2. when I was running the 280's with my air lid on i was fouling my plugs, when i took my air lid off it cleared up.. but now with the 270 there is NO oil resedue in my mufflers which i think is good.. also how long in 6th gear do u rev out for??? because i didnt stay WOT in 6th gear for a while

  4. Hey guys its been a while.. ok so i done my first plug chop and i think my top end jets are spot on.. here are some pics tell me what you think. Mains 270 - Pilots 25 - foam air filter with lid off - T5 toomeys - +4 timing - VF3 reeds - 2000ft 79 degree Thanks Jack

  6. thx for all ur input guys.. the shee had a boost bootle until i booted it to the neighbours.. i want to do a plug chop but it has a very bad bog and the reading wont be accurate.. i will bump up the main's .. the area where we ride is 2300ft above sea lv. the temp is around 57 degrees (winter) and we mix at 33:1 (motul 800) pump gas 98 AUS
  7. hey guys.. this shee aint running right cant pin point problem... the bike is had to start, wen it starts it idles fine and REVS fine aswell. wen i put in 1st gear it bogs till i reach 5-6 gear and opens up at WOT.. i thought it was electrical so i changed the stator and same thing. i changed coils same thing.. so now i back working on the carbss.. cleaned the shit outta them found a bit of dirt hangin around the main jet cleaned it all... then i checked the boots and found a lil crack.. i wanna know what the fuck is goin on.. any help is good thanks guys.. havent tried started after i cleaned the carbs coz i found the crack in the intake.. wat else should i look out for??? mods are 4mil stroker,max piston size (400cc) fmf sst exhaust, K&N filter, 30 pilot, 260 main, needle clip 3rd groove here are some pics of the plugs and intake boot http://s1042.photobucket.com/albums/b429/jack350/ thanks guys need all ur help..
  8. hey boys just bought a FAST clutch kit just wanna know if i need to install it like the stock one??? (cylmers manuel) with the cuchioning plates in between the friction plates?? thanks boys Jack

  10. how often do u change gear oil?? i also use motul transoil expert.. any1 use this? i have never had a problem with it.. a bit pricey tho

  13. hey boys, Quick update im waitin on a NOSS head 21cc, and just a bit scared to open my motor (stock never been touched) for its running pretty much perfect to me. BUT its time to man up!!! Im a type of guy who has to do every thing my the book ESPECIALLY if im working on my shee. So I want the guys who go by the book to give me some advice and anything i should be cautious with when tearing and installing head. I know alll the basics guys but just wanna know stuff out of the ordanary. I aslo wanna know if i need to re-jet after installtion of cool head??? how to correctly do the heat cycle post installation??? I just dont wanna put my bike at risk for its MY LIFE Thanks Jack

  17. hey guys i know ur prob sick of this topic but im in a bit of pickle.... ok so i want my next mod to be a coolhead.. there are a couple of different ones (as u all know) Noss head, pro design and chariot..etc i have seen the noss head and think i want it (anodized black).. but i would like to know the pro's and con's of all of them... and i have heard the chariot one is very installer friendly (correct me if im wrong).. in conclusion i wanna know which size domes and which one is the best for cooling, installing and maintain.. i also wanna stay on pump gas and im from downunder so our 98 octane is ur 93 octane. my mods inc: stock motor t-5 pipes VF3 pro design foam filter +4 timing TORS elim 2000ft above sea lv toomey jet and needle 280 main stock pilots 120 psi 115 psi compression please help me guys thanks jack

  23. i tryed cleanin the stator it didnt work... how would u clean the flywheel?? do i just have to make sure the 2 lugs r rust free and that the inside is clean ??? were can i get a OEM stator from too its an 02 thanks boys
  24. ok so i think its the stator.. it had been through water without the rubber stator cover gasket.. the bike had been sitting in the garage.. now the bike under load (when in gear) does not rev but revs fine in neutrel.. the condition of the stator looks poor rusty n shit.. the flywheel is also rusty.. the bike turns on but like i mentioned it runs like shit.. need ur help need it to run by next week i have ruled out carby issue so i think its a stator issue.. what are the symptoms of a faulty stator and or CDI ?????? THANKS JACK!!
