seabass Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 When installing the gussets, they don't go on the very outside of the frame like the factory ones, correct? From the pictures I could find, which weren't many, it looks as if they go in the middle of the bend (if this makes sense)? I know they don't go on the very inside of the frame and the directions do not state excactly where they go. I hope I explained my question correctly and thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Quote
hnb Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I work for a chassis builder -- pro street cars and drag cars -- when we gusset -- we usually go down the center of the bar/s to be reinforced --- if putting on the outside of a tube --- one side will strengthen the junction but doing both sides and boxing it in adds even more strength Quote
