banshee#14 Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Hey guys I know this isnt the right place for this post but i need help fast and i know I can get more help here. So heres whats going on, im going on vacation and im taking my banshee with me but where i ride at normally (where i live) my elevation is around 700ft and were im going to be riding my banshee for a week or so is around 6,800ft. Will I have any trouble? i dont know much about jetting or any of that stuff, also will i loose any notisable power? any help will be greatly appreciated since i head out later tonight. Thanks! Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 That's close to the elevation we ride at here in wyoming at KP sand dunes. There will be a noticeable difference in power. You will need to drop around 2 main jet sizes. Keep your pilot and needle where they are for starters and just go down 2 sizes on your main. Maybe just 1 and do a plug chop and see where it puts you. I'd bet on 2 though. Once your are sure the main is good, you might have to drop your needle 1 clip position to lean up the midrange a little. There will be less air at the higher elevation, so you don't need as much fuel to keep your air/fuel ratio correct. What jets are you running now? Quote
