agustinvdm Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Hi, i just got my used 99 Banshee and it was running fine yesterday but then it just stoped and wont start again. I realized later that i had been running it with the fuel switch on "off" so i switched it (after the banshee wouldnt start) to "on", resulting in gas leaking from those two tubes that i think come from the carburator. This morning i kickstarted it and it ran for a couple of minutes but then it just stopped again. Can anybody help me? i am new at this and i dont want to ruin my quad Quote
Larry's Shee Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Welcome to BHQ !! Either you have dirt in the carbs causing float valves not closing fully or the valves are worn out. Try cleanig carbs one at atime because they're different. Be sure to re-install choke tube that goes between two carbs. Also remove fuel petcock and clean inside of tank of dirt. Hope this helps. Post back your results or if you need more help. Quote
CraigP Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Like Larry said... 1.Clean ur carbs because the result of gas coming out of those hoses is because the float in ur carb is stuck. 2.Clean anything that could be clogged with dirt. 3. Make sure the carbs go back together EXACTLY how they were on! Quote
