carb bowls

i am currently rejetting my carbs for the winter temps, and i was just wondering if there is a difference between the left and right carb bowls on stock carburators

Yes there is. If you switch them up the choke will no longer work on your right carb. My bowls were labeled 1-1 and 1-2 inside them.....1-1 being the choke side bowl. I have heard this is not always the case though.

thanks for the tip mine are also numbered 1-1 and 1-2, i looked in the clymer manual but it didnt say anything about it

I have had many sets that were not the case but im pretty sure it was because of people prior 2 me messing with it
