ban99 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Here is my current set-up. mild dune port, trued and welded crank, stock carbs, +4 timing, t-5's, v-force 3 reeds. I came into some parts and need to know if they will integrate smoothly with my set-up. The first is a pro design cool head with 18cc domes (looking to trade to 20cc). Second is a set of 33 or 35 keihn pwk's with pods. The cool head i'm not so concerned about but not sure if the carbs are overkill. Thanks Quote

Thanks What kind of riding do you do? 33s will typically work fine on a dune port but I'm not so sure about the 35s as they might be over doing it. Are you looking to switch to 20s to stay on pump fuel? Just curious, what head is on the bike now? Stock milled? Where is your compression at currently? You certainly have the potential to add a few ponies Quote
rdzbangshee Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 go with the 33 carbs 35mm is to big don't want to burn it up within 160 hours Quote
donkeypuncher Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 including the 33, pwks and the coolhead thats pretty much identical my current setup and it runs great. i'd say go with the 33's over the 35's because as mentioned, with the stock stroke dune ported motor 35's would be overkill and 33's will be plenty if you ever decide you want to go 4mill. Stock head (not milled) and compression is right around 120. I appreciate the help guys, this is pretty much confirming my thoughts. How do I distinguish between 33's and 35's? The size chart on Keihn's website has the same measurements for both carbs Quote
