Elaborate on "trails". Tight, open? Most likely going to be a bad idea. If you're making enough power to need one, that's quite the 'trail' motor you have! On the other hand, I rode my at Little Sahara in some trails and duned the heck out of it and it's still going strong.

I've got a wcr 1-5n down. I was told no downshift with rpm above 6500. No engine braking either. Pull the clutch in when u let off the gas. Depending on how much motor your running. I wouldn't think you need one till you get up in the 75hp range. I've ran mine wide open after a race and forgotten to pull the clutch and not had any issues. Not a million times though. I think eventually it's gonna pop and get stuck in 2 gears at the same time and BOOM! I've only rode it on one weekend trip and not had any issues duning it. Sand is a little more forgiving than dirt also.

i got 75 hp just wondering how they hold up and who is cutting good ones.i have a 1-5 n down to copy but it's not duneable.i guess i'm gonna have to buy one.

Not a good trail trans. WCR cuts what he calls an extreme duneable which you are supposed to be able to ride it any way you want. I believe they are about 450-500 but i'm not exactly sure on that i got my duneable a couple years ago. Andy at M/M a site sponsor has most of the duneables in stock. I'd stay stock transmission if it were me for trail riding, the overrides just make you a bit quicker dragracing.

stock modded trans is excellent and cheap alternative to override its NOT an override but its not a gimick part they actually work they fix the real problem all those springs and EZshiftomatics are trying to cover up. still use clutch BUT its backload all day just like stock.

who does this mod? and how much?

lots of places do i have been doing this for a long time. started it back in the days with the mx bikes needed a trans that would shift but take a backload and survive jumps and etc.

I agree...don't waste your time or money on an override (dunable) for trails.

Get a tranny with every other dog cut off and get the shift pro kit.

i have both(and an undercover lockup) but i'm probably just getting too old to shift.my buddies say it shifts awesome.i guess it's time to get a utility

Mine came from a buddy of dajogejr. I beat the hell out of it. Works fine. Only time i really back load is when i let off doing a wheelie. Otherwise i treat it well. Perhaps thats why it still works like the day i installed it. I even let the gf and my friends ride my bike. Thanks again dave!

the tranny mod, is it to remove the half of the dog. In order to get more time to engage the gear (like the first gear)?

What is the downside of this mod and who can make it.

Thanks
