you might wanna buy a set of matched cases, mix matching cases is a bitch and an even bigger bitch to seal up. I have 2 sets of perfect cases and will sell you just an upper case if you really wanna go that route. $50 for an upper case $175 for full set of perfect cases

Sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you don't. The issue I have had in the past was too much bearing crush and it would lock the transmission up. Other times however, I had no problem. So just be careful.

just puting it out there I have a set of 87 cases and 98 cases and 04 cases and interchanged all they all fit no probs

I dont know what the big deal is either. I have a mixmatched set on my cheetah. No problems thus far.
