im messing around with the idea of doing a 4 mil now that i have my stock stroke built. i have vitos superstock pistons (the one with the recessed exhaust). would i be able to pull out the vitos and slap in the wiseco, or do they use diff tolerances. do i need to re bore my newly bored cylinders?

thanks

ok.....

if the vitos are a cast piston, (i think they are) then you will have to bore the cylinders to fit the forged wiseco pistons in.

forged pistons run greater clearances than cast.

even if i were buying the same spec/brand piston, i would still get the bore and piston mic'ed up at a machine shop.

Huh???

You should be able call Vitos and get the tolerances. If the bore is already matched to the pistons you have, it is likely that Vito's of the same size should work. But it never hurts to have the piston and cylinder mic'd to be safe. The new Vito's pistons are forged and of good quality (imo); even though they're from Taiwan.

I meant the Wiseco of the same size as Vito's should work (re read and realized your going from Vito's to Wiseco.)
