silencers fab?

just got a bike that has lrd pipes on it but no mid pipes or silencers, looking to see what i can possibly do..... im thinking im gunna have to fab up my own. would stock work or should i get aftermarket ones and hack them up? as for motor mods idk whats done to it i got it for $500 so i dont think alot. he said "new top and bottom end" but idk, k&n's and pipes are the only mods i know of.

Are LRD silencers not available? I'm sure you could find some after market ones that fit

i found some on their website for 120 each side.... im not looking to spend that kinda money if i dont have to. and i was reading another topic saying that LRD has ben shut down and its now something else but idk. this is my first banshee so im really new to this. had a blaster for a while but thats totally different.

I would keep an eye out for a used set of silencers.....just fab them up. I'm sure you could find some T-5 silencers somewhere around here.

yeah im sure it wouldnt be to hard and i have all the equipment at work to do it. i was just hoping someone might know of something that will bolt on other then what it came with.

well V8luv either go to cascade or find a set if silences and cut them to fit lrd use to be really nice but since economy tanked they mingt end up going down as well

Hey welcome to bhq, so I would suggest going in craigslist and ebay and looking for some llrd silencers if u got the tools and know how try fabbing some

im on both thos sites everyday looking for lrd silencers but no one has them.... and i dont have any friends that have a banshee so i cant even try to fit a diff set . and i do have the tools not so much the know how but im pretty smart with that stuff. i do have a v8 in a luv......

well, toomy silencers usually run pretty well on other pipes. cascade silencers are made for putting on whatever, but you might have the most luck with fmf silencers. they have the larger diameter stinger tubing, are the longer of the 2 common connection points, and are made with steel stinger tubes for easier modification.... there is also several different styles to choose from on the silencer it self.

i did as much research as i could, and i know the new lrd's use silencers that resemble fmf's, but i think they are the only inframe that uses an added mount close to the header.......i'm not certain on that, but it would make since to need them, since they had one-piece headers, and adjustable headers, and that the adjustable ones would need the extra support to keep them square.... i'd definitely give them a shot...
