crash&burn Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Ok so bought a set of polished cylinders and found out there was a stud broke in the cylinder so how would you guys get the broken stud i was thinkin of drillin and try a eay-out or drill and tap it.... and second thing is installing new prodesgn head studs and wanted to know how you guys put them in and torque them to.... i was thinkin of double nut the studs and locktight and tighten to torque spec Quote
midlifecrisis Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 I would do exactly what you have suggested and in that order as well. Two of my head studs were damaged when I got my bike, so I helicoiled the old holes and installed new studs for my Vitos 2 head. Hopefully this helps. Use the blue locktite just incase they need replacing again. Quote
