stroking Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 ok if you have i bike on alky with 150psi and you go to 180psi will your jetting become to rich or to lean ? i know on a 4 stroke if you increase the comp you usually go smaller on the main jet so im wondering if its the same thing on a 2 stroke. Umm...I always jet one up to be on the safe side and do a plug chop. It is easier to change a plug then it is a piston. Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Any time you go with more compression, you have to retard the timing, or bump up the octane level of your fuel. I see you are already running alky, sooooo. You might have to go a little bit richer on your jetting too. Quote
J-Madd Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Compression really doesn't affect jetting. But you can richen it up to be safe. THe increased compression will create more heat and the richer mixture will help cool the combustion chamber and piston crown. Quote
