01bansheerider Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 i want to get an adjustable timing plate becuase i hear its cheap and gives it lots more power... will i have to change anything to make it run with it right? Quote
alf44 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Nope. bolt it on adjust it and ride away. Ive got a couple in stock. Pm me if you like. Quote
01bansheerider Posted September 21, 2010 Author Report Posted September 21, 2010 ive heard from people that i might need to run race gas. why would that be?? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 nope....race gas is needed when your crankin more than 150 psi..... timing doesn't increase your compression....changes when the spark plugs fire. Quote
01bansheerider Posted September 21, 2010 Author Report Posted September 21, 2010 ok so should i do a compression test after i put it on, and what should i make the timing to get best performance? Quote
Jereme6655 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 well if your bike has the mods that are listed in your signature and nothing more then its no where near race gas compression. like said before....timing does not increase your compression. it only changes when the spark plug ignites the fuel mix in your cylinder based on the cylinders position. most people will run +4 on the timing....seems to be the best for most shee's Quote
