I had a lot of drag races today and noticed that my bike likes going in to neutral between 3rd and 4th (starting in 2nd). I have kenda klaws out back half worn and my basket cushions are smoked(waiting on hinson cushions to change baskets), do you guys think between wheel spin and that basket play it can make hitting neutral easier or am I shifting too fast?

no, the shifting problem is just from shifting. you may have a worn/bent fork or something loose. if you keep riding like that, it can chew the gears up.

I had it apart last month to install new main bearings and welded crank but didn't take the tranny out because it seemed fine under light load.

The more power you push the harder it is to shift. I hated going in between gears as well. I went with an override.

Yes it's usually not needed but it's addicting. And if you drag race a lot, it's one of the best mods .
