kxexvxixn
I tried doing a search but couldn't really come up with anything. I have a 00' banshee, picked it up for $600, project, going back together with it now and I was changing the brakes last night and ran into a problem with the front right hand caliper. The sliding pin for the caliper that connects it to the mounting bracket was seized up not allowing the wheel to spin freely. No big deal except on further inspection and taking it apart, I find that the rubber boots are dry rotted and trash, which would have been what lead to this problem. According to the manual Yamaha doesn't sell these parts I'm needing. Anyone have any idea where I can find them. I will try to get pics up in a bit. brugal
the rubber boots are dry rotted and trash. Would those"rubber boots" be the Piston seal and Dust seal?
kxexvxixn
Nope not the piston seal. But luckily I took a trip over to my local atv shop in the hopes to find a used caliper or pin boot. And come to find out Honda actually sells replacement boots that are the same as the Yamaha. Still makes no sense to me why they wouldn't sell them. Oh well found what I needed. In case anyone else needs these here's the part #'s 45133-166-016 & 45132-166-016.
