hey im just ordering some parts today for this winter when i get some stuff done to the shee. so far i have a 2002 shee with black frame and white plastic, kenda front tires and razr rears with new dunlop rears sitting there...gonna get the rims powdercoated black. got new rear bearings and brakes. got a rear skidplate for hare scrambles next year, got new pro circuit pipes blacked out with nerf bars and a k and n filter with outerwears and no lid .TORS removed, HID headlights and LED lights on bottom. has full ohlins suspension front and rear, dg front bumper. Here is the thing....the engine is basically stock, has wiseco pistons at like .30 over if i remember right, as you can tell i got this thing bone stock basically. ive done no motor work at all to it. had it in the shop the other day for a kill switch installation and had them check everything over for me while it was in there. said my compression was on the low side. its running fine i didnt know if i should get some new clutch plates and heavy duty springs or not, was also thinking of putting in a billet water impeller but ive had no problems overheating. ive heard bad thing with the timing plates making the engines run all wierd over time. didnt know if anyone had an opinion on this stuff....

Well what is your compression at? Alot of shops will tell you that its time for a rebuild just because its a 2-stroke adn your askin them to check it over. Get a good compression tester with the threaded end the same length as the spark plugs and rely on that. and get a clymer manual....it'll explain EVERYTHING that you need to fix anything on your shee.

as far as the motor.....the sky is the limit for the shee... basically meaning you can make it as fast as you want...as long as you got the cash to do it.

if your gonna keep it for trail riding and the occasional hare.....then i'd pull my cylinders and send them out to JEFF at FAST RACING and have him possibly bore it and get you new pistons along with doing some port work to REALLY open up that motors potential. and while your at it you might as well send him your stock crank and he can weld and true it to make sure it doesn't seperate when you start building more power with your shee.

you can also get yourself some V-force 3 reeds to snap up your throttle response...

AND DONT FORGET TO RE-JET!!!

what were your compression numbers? timing plate is a great low budget mod that you can feel a good diff from. set it at plus 4 and locktight all your bolts and you will not have a prob.if you have to do a topend then spend a lil extra and get your jugs ported. with port job , new pipes (from stock) and plus 4 you will think your on a whole new bike and that should hold ya over for a couple of months till ya get that itch again
